The other day, my husband discovered my shame: I had never seen Robocop in its entirety – even though I had a breakout performance as businesswoman #3 in the subsequent TV series. Me, who criticizes Halle Berry for not researching her Storm role. My shame and hypocrisy are boundless.

What can I say? In the 80s, I was a one cyborg kind of girl and Terminator was the only one for me. I even had the trading cards in the 90s.

But fear not. My Robocop shame has been remedied, with humble gratitude to my husband. Now there is room in my heart for another 80s cyborg, as well as a very cool sidekick who wasn’t just a trope.

WHAT IS THIS?

This is my mindspill. Mostly about comics, books, video games, movies of the science fiction and fantasy leanings. Sometimes recipes and parenting stuff will sneak in, along with a real world rant or two.

I also write about geek culture at Women Write About Comics, and I review genre fiction at The BiblioSanctum.
