Kudoes to Bioware for giving us a story that covers the reality of war. Sure this game is fun entertainment, but it’s also very emotional and it is far more serious than its predecessors – or any other game I can think of.

Shepard has an entire galaxy to save. Lots of other games and movies have dealt with such an immense situation, but how many truly delve into how difficult it is for the main character to shoulder that weight? While I’m complaining about Garrus not providing enough emotional support for his girlfriend, though she’s offering it to him, Shepard is getting support from all sides – if you look for it. From Shepard getting to ask Hackett “Why me?” to her yelling at Joker for his jokes. (I begged Joker’s forgiveness with a reload....)

WHAT IS THIS?

This is my mindspill. Mostly about comics, books, video games, movies of the science fiction and fantasy leanings. Sometimes recipes and parenting stuff will sneak in, along with a real world rant or two.

I also write about geek culture at Women Write About Comics, and I review genre fiction at The BiblioSanctum.
