I have made New Years Resolutions in the past, but for scientific reasons, they have all failed. Most recently, I have been trying this thing with my Wii Fit, where I promised to use it regularly to keep it from mocking my absences. I made a valiant effort in 2011 that saw me all the way to March. Now I comfort myself with the knowledge that if I don't turn on the Wii Fit, that damn balance board can't say a word.

This year, I have decided to make more reasonable goals. Goals that I can achieve because I want to. They are not necessarily life changing. More ... enjoyment enabling ...

  1. Finish Mass Effect 2 before Mass Effect 3 comes out in March. BONUS MISSION: Obtain the priiiize.
  2. Get my Operative, Trooper and Sorcerer to 50 before I start on all those other characters I made.
  3. Read a minimum of 50 books. BONUS MISSION: Read more.
  4. Write. BONUS MISSION: Participate in Script Frenzy in April.
  5. Continue geekifying my girls.
  6. Try not to fall for Final Fantasy XIV's trap. BONUS MISSION: Fall for Final Fantasy XIV's trap.
  7. Get Batman and Joker their medicine. BONUS MISSION: Solve Riddler's riddles and answer Zsasz's phone calls. Finish challenges as Catwoman.
  8. Convince my friends to watch more awesome TV shows. BONUS MISSION: Have massive Si/Becca-conversations about all of them.
  9. TSCC marathon. BONUS MISSION: Finish the Farscape marathon. (partial completion)
  10. Maintain the monthly Levar's Rainbow Book Club reads. BONUS MISSION: Get LeVar Burton to join.

This is my mindspill. Mostly about comics, books, video games, movies of the science fiction and fantasy leanings. Sometimes recipes and parenting stuff will sneak in, along with a real world rant or two.

I also write about geek culture at Women Write About Comics, and I review genre fiction at The BiblioSanctum.
